Bolt Studio was engaged by Red Communications Sdn Bhd to provide visual effects support for the TV series Ex Aku Pontianak. The project required a range of VFX enhancements to support the show’s supernatural tone, helping key scenes feel more cinematic, polished, and believable on screen.

Our scope included wire removal, where stunt and production rigging elements were carefully cleaned up to preserve the illusion of movement and action. We also created and enhanced glowing visual effects, supporting moments involving supernatural energy and magical elements. For selected scenes, Bolt Studio developed magic explosion effects, adding impact, atmosphere, and visual intensity to dramatic sequences.

The work required close attention to shot continuity, lighting, movement, and integration with the live-action footage. Each effect was designed to blend naturally into the scene while strengthening the fantasy and horror-comedy feel of the series.

Through this project, Bolt Studio contributed to the series’ post-production pipeline by delivering VFX elements that helped bring its supernatural storytelling to life.
