Iskandar is a boy with learning disabilities who lives with his grandmother, Wan Mala. He has a heartfelt wish to dedicate Al-Fatihah to his late mother, but he does not know how to read the Qur’an and has never learned to recite it properly. He tries to learn in his own way until his father, who had been missing for seven years, suddenly returns.

With his father’s help, Iskandar is not only taught about guarding one’s heart and intentions but is also guided to recite Surah Al-Fatihah. Through this journey, the previously strained relationship between Wan Mala and Shah gradually becomes peaceful again.

However, lingering resentment from a past tragedy leads to Shah being shot dead by Wak Yem. After that tragic event, Iskandar continues to recite Al-Fatihah endlessly, until people begin to see him as someone as precious as a bar of gold.
